Why should people have to upload pre-patched. I know old games rarely see updates/support, but in this situation people are still without resolution and the game should be pulled Origin if it is not going to warn players prior to giving their money to these companies. This practice is deceptive and quite annoying. It looks like after all the fallout regarding the issue, there has not been any attempt by Origin (or Steam either) to address this issue and offer a version of the game the way it was intended to be released.
Many people (thousands seemingly) do not want to be handed all of this content for free (especially at the beginning of the game AND when players choose to play on a Hard mode setting) and wish to play the game the way it was intended to be played by the developers.
I searched around the internet and found countless posts on a number of forums addressing this issue. However, after reaching the first Store in the game, I realized that all weapons, armor and ammo were already unlocked and cost 0 credits to buy (free items) and with no option to turn them off. I recently bought Dead Space 2 on Origin.
